Edward Kraemer & Sons
Edward Kraemer and Sons is headquartered in Plain, Wisconsin with regional offices in Minnesota and Colorado and will be one of the Light Rail Transit Bridge constructors on the West Corridor.  Their extensive experience includes the development, construction, repair and design-build of heavy civil structures including: highway and pedestrian bridges, railroad bridges, dams and flood control structures, and industrial projects.   

Edward Kraemer and Sons high quality work earned them the prestigious "Best of Bridge 2007" award for their work on the Susan B. Anthony Memorial Bridge in Rochester, New York.  A 433-foot bridge with arches rising 70-feet above ground, this unique bridge is the widest three-section arch bridge in the country and replaces a 50-year-old structure.

Meza Construction
Meza Construction Company, a Colorado local DBE firm, will be the subcontractor building the pedestrian bridges in the Lakewood Dry Gulch.  Their most recent project was the Ritz Carlton Hotel in downtown Denver.  Their work included the completion of specialty flatwork, landscape boxes and permeable pavers in the drive-through entrance.  These pavers are the first such installation in downtown Denver.  Meza also worked on the signature remodel of the Denver Art Museum.  Included in their scope of work on the museum were plaza paving, sidewalks, stairs and curb and gutter.  In a collaborative effort with other local firms, Meza assisted in the creation of the water feature outside the museum. 

Brothers Chris and John Meza provide a staff of experienced and skilled concrete carpenters and form-setters dedicated to delivering projects within the strict tolerances set forth by the industry.  They are extremely active in the Denver community.  Chris Meza serves on the Board of Directors of the Denver Museum of Contemporary Art and the company is active with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. 

YEH and Associates, Inc.
YEH and Associates, Inc. is a full service geotechnical engineering and materials testing firm that will provide Quality Control, material testing and inspections during the West Corridor construction.  YEH and Associates has two in-house testing laboratories in Colorado; one in Englewood and the other serving the western slope in Rifle.  These labs are fully equipped and staffed with trained, certified personnel.  Licensed professional engineers oversee the lab testing and the labs are capable of performing rock and soil properties tests as well as an array of asphalt, concrete, masonry and steel tests.

YEH's expert staff will provide field testing technicians and inspectors to ensure that the materials used in the construction of the West Corridor meet the strict guidelines set forth by RTD's specifications. 

YEH and Associates, led by Shan-Tai Yeh, Richard Andrew and Roger Pihl, employs over 30 professionals and technicians and provides services to a diverse clientele.  The firm is certified as a Small Disadvantaged Business, an Underutilized Disadvantaged Business Enterprise and a Minority-Owned Business Enterprise.

American West Construction
American West Construction provides skilled professionals with incomparable knowledge in earthwork, grading, waterline, sanitary sewer lines and storm lines.  They are working on the sanitary sewer and storm drainage improvements along the corridor.

American West Construction's senior management team has over fifty years of heavy/highway construction experience.   They bring a solid background in infrastructure improvements, utility work, drainage and channel work and environmental mitigation to the West Corridor project.    

Lawrence Construction
Lawrence Construction Company, a pioneer in heavy highway and bridge-construction for over eight decades, will be constructing the Howard St. Bridge, Federal Blvd. Bridge, Colfax Bridge, Decatur Street Bridge and the tunnerl under I-70. Headquartered in Littleton, Lawrence Construction Company is a family owned company that operates on a lean and experienced team of management, employees and crews who take pride in quality workmanship.
CEO and president, Rick Lawrence, began his professional engineering career in 1984 with a degree in civil engineering from Colorado State University. Managing the company full time since 1995, Rick has successfully pioneered fast-track and design-build technologies that have been well-received in the construction industry. Ensuring high-end construction without sacrificing workmanship or best management practices has contributed to Lawrence Construction Company's "best value" reputation in Colorado.  
Lawrence's experience encompasses a vast array of high profile projects including the I-70 & E-470 Interchange Ramp H, E-470 Public Highway Bridges, US 40 Berthoud Pass (Phase 3) and three Light Rail Bridges on the RTD Southwest Corridor.

Their dedication to quality workmanship and safety; and their philosophy of "doing it right the first time" has earned Lawrence Construction several local and national awards.  In 2008, Lawrence was recognized by the Colorado Contractors Association for an exemplary accident prevention record.  They were also recognized by the American Public Works Association, the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute, and R.E.A.C.H.
