The Southwest Corridor Project Team is continuing to make good progress on the Environmental Evaluation (EE) and Basic Engineering for the Southwest Corridor extension with completion set for Fall 2009. As we have committed to you, we welcome your input and feedback into this planning process and have been pleased with participation in our two public meetings last October and this March.

Over the course of the EE, we have been working with a variety of different stakeholders in the Southwest Corridor to further define the Preferred Alternative for the Southwest Corridor light rail extension. Not only do we work to establish the best route for the light rail extension, but we also look at how to coordinate with other projects such as CDOT's proposed C-470 flyover ramp at Santa Fe.Throughout our interactions with these and all stakeholders we are focused on creating win-win solutions that enable RTD to effectively expand our popular light rail system.

Again, we are looking for input from the public on the written EE and at another public meeting as we finalize the light rail alignment and station layouts. Stay tuned for the meeting location and date

Public Meeting/Open House

The purpose of this meeting is to review the environmental evaluation results, view station renderings, and comment on the Environmental Evaluation document.  Learn about:

• The findings of the environmental study as documented in the EE
• The selected alignment and station locations for the extension of light rail into your community
• How this line fits into the overall FasTracks program
