Thank you for your participation in the Southeast Corridor Environmental Evaluation Process Starting in Fall 2008, a team of planners and engineers have been working hard on the Southeast Corridor Extension Environmental Evaluation (EE) and Basic Engineering (BE). An EE is a process done by the Regional Transportation District (RTD) to fulfill the RTD Board of Directors' commitment to perform the same level of environmental planning on all FasTracks corridors and projects. Phase I: Scoping/Defining Purpose and Need -- October 2008 Phase II: Alternative Development/Environmental Evaluation -- March 2009 Phase III: Final Recommendation -- November 2009 ![]() Southeast Corridor Environmental Planning Continues on Schedule The Southeast Light Rail Line includes 19.1 miles of the popular RTD light rail system. It extends from I-25/Broadway to Lincoln Avenue in Douglas County, with an additional connection along I-225 from I-25 to Parker Road. The Southeast Corridor Extension will make the Southeast line even more successful than it is today. The current plan is to extend light rail transit service to the new RidgeGate Parkway Interchange by providing the following:
