Quality of Life Study: High Level Measures 2008
Quality of Life Cover Graphic for webThe 2008 2008 Quality of Life High Level Measures Report is now available! The Quality of Life Study is a long-term study to determine how existing and future rapid transit station areas, rapid transit corridors and the Denver region change during all phases of the FasTracks Program's implemen-tation. The first report, The Quality of Life Study Baseline Report ‐ 2006, is considered a "detailed" report as it presents results from all of the study's measures (about 70). These detailed reports will be released  approximately every three to five years. This is the third Quality of Life Study report and provides results on a subset of ten of the full list of measures, referred to as "high level measures."

Jobs for Main Street 2010
It is anticipated that Congress may be passing a Transportation Economic Recovery Project ("Jobs for Main Street 2010" or "ARRA 2") bill as early as March 2010, which would provide billions of dollars toward infrastructure improvements. DRCOG requested that RTD submit a list of potential "Early Implementation" projects for consideration. The projects that RTD submitted were required to be "construction ready" and under contract within 90 days of passage of the legislation.
The projects selected all meet the following criteria:
  • Project can be under contract within the appropriate time frame of the signing of a bill into law

  • Notice to Proceed on the project has not been issued

  • Project is not currently funded by a grant or third-party contributions

  • Project cost is over $100,000
