"I am writing to express my sincere interest in seeing FasTracks light rail brought north to Longmont. As a daily commuter to Downtown Denver, I can tell you this would be a huge benefit to myself and others with whom I currently vanpool. As you know, with the metro area and its population ever growing, congestion on I-25 is only growing worse. I am scared for traffic will be like in 5-10 years and what it means for my job and quality of life. The light rail project is truly the best and most logical solution to this problem from a commuter's standpoint. The current RTD bus system from Longmont is just not convenient. And the reality is that most jobs are located in them metro area, with the most affordable housing located just outside of it. As with all big cities, it's time for the Denver area to expand its light rail tracks and boost public transportation options."

"I think any option that falls short of delivering the whole program is not sufficient. I am all for paying a little more sales tax or whatever we have to do to get this system. Public transit is, in my mind, the best way to mitigate problems such as air quality, greenhouse gas emissions and global warming, and traffic congestion. More efficient transit such as FasTracks will be necessary to entice more people out of their cars and onto public transit!

"Let's please keep the FasTracks on the fast track to completion. I would use the system regularly, even if just for the simple Longmont-to-Boulder leg. I already have visions of hopping on and taking my kid down to Rockies games in the summer time. Let's not stall out now, especially at a time when we are all doing our best to conserve energy and keep cars off the road!"
