Project Schedule

• Fall 2007 - Fall 2009 - Conducted the Environmental Evaluation (EA) process which resulted in a detailed report that summarizes the impacts of the Preferred Alternative, as well as the proposed methods to mitigate impacts. There were four public meeting and included a 30-day public comment period.
  
  
• Fall 2009 - The final EE was published and submitted to the RTD Board of Directors for adoption. The final document includes mitigation commitments and responses to all Draft EE comments.
  
  
• Late 2010 - Final design for Segment 1- Nine Mile Station to Iliff Station was
  completed.
  
  
• Spring/Summer 2011 - the team will conduct and finalize an EA process. Approval of the EA on Segment 1 will make the project eligible for federal funding.
  
  
• Summer 2011 - a construction procurement package will be competed and posted for bids.
  
  
• Late 2011 - Construction to begin on Segment 1 pending the outcome of the EA.
